Marriage is a covenant or partnership of life between a man and woman, which is ordered to the well-being of the spouses and to the procreation and upbringing of children. When validly contracted between two baptized people, marriage is a sacrament.

​To begin preparation for Marriage, please contact Lucy Morlet, Pastoral Secretary at 479-442-0890 ext. 202  at least six months before your proposed date. Catholics must request their Baptismal certificate with notations at their Baptismal church (with recent date) and present it the day of the appointment with the Pastor. ​

 

Annulment

Before beginning marriage prep, determine that both parties are "free to marry." If either the bride or groom has a previous marriage and civil divorce decree, an annulment must be obtained. Please see the information below and don't be intimidated by the process. Para comenzar la preparación para el matrimonio, por favor contacta a Lucy Morlet, Secretaria Pastoral, al 479-442-0890 ext. 202, al menos seis meses antes de la fecha propuesta. Los católicos deben solicitar su Fe de bautizo con anotaciones en su iglesia de bautismo (con fecha reciente) y presentarlo al sacerdote el día de la cita.

 

Anulaciones

Antes de comenzar la preparación para el matrimonio, deberán asegurarse de que ambas partes estén "libres para casarse". Si la novia o el novio tiene un matrimonio anterior y un decreto de divorcio civil, se debe obtener una anulación por la Iglesia. Consulta la información a continuación y no te intimides por el proceso. Tendrás un intercesor que te guiará a través del proceso.
