"Just Desserts" Couples Group
Just Desserts is a Catholic couples group that gets together, well... just for desserts, coffee and a group study. Meetings are once a month starting in September on Sundays at 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m for a little social time and then discussion on Christian topics. This year 35 couples will join together to watch a short film on Modern Parables, then break into small groups for discussion. A few guest speakers will join us throughout the year and a special February night involving a progressive dinner is planned.

Teams of Our Lady (TOOL)
Lay organization for couples to support them living their Sacrament of Marriage. Monthly meetings with discussion and prayer, annual Retreat. Teams limited to 7 couples. New Teams begin when adequate numbers are interested.

Sponsor Couples
Our Catholic community considers Christian marriage a unique calling, believing that the married couple, in their love for one another, models Christ’s unconditional love. In their daily “yes” to one another, the married couple acts as Christ’s witness in today’s world. Helping engaged couples develop the skills and motivations, required to live such a sacramental life-style, is the ultimate goal of marriage preparation.
The Sponsor Couple Marriage Preparation Program consists of four evening sessions, conducted in the privacy of the Sponsor Couple's home and at their scheduling convenience. Sponsor Couple acts to facilitate, guiding the engaged couple through a preparation program that leads them to a deeper understanding of one another and their call to the vocation of Christian marriage.
The requirements for a Sponsor Couple are as follows:
- Couple has a sacramental marriage (blessed by the Catholic Church).
- Couple has been married for a minimum of five years.
- Couple upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church.
This program is vitally important to engaged couples and truly rewarding to the Sponsor Couple and their relationship. The program has been a part of marriage preparation at St. Joseph since 1993.
