Greeters Ministry

Manifesting the welcoming and friendly nature of St. Joseph Parish, the volunteers of the Greeters’ Ministry take turns welcoming each parishioner with a friendly hello as they arrive for Mass. The volunteers consist of singles, couples and families who are scheduled approximately once every month to six weeks for greeting duty before their preferred Mass.

New volunteers are always welcome.  Please contact David  or Marti Genge at

Nursery

Our nursery is open for every Sunday Mass (9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m). and special events, in Room 111.

Martha's Ministry

The purpose of Martha's Ministry is to provide a reception for families and friends of deceased parishioners after the funeral Mass. Our ministry is a great comfort to grieving families, removing the need for them to try to provide hospitality to family and friends who have gathered to celebrate the life of a lost loved-one.  Our volunteers receive deep satisfaction from easing the burden of those who mourn. The wonderful ladies that are part of this ministry help with set up, serving and clean up at the reception for the bereaved family and their guests.

We are always in need of volunteers! We always need Marthas to be “on-call”!

We also need food providers. The church provides the main dish, rolls and drinks, but we ask parishioners to help with side dishes and desserts. The food may be home-made or purchased, i.e. salads, casseroles, etc.

If you would like to help with meals or with the reception, please call Bea Jenkins at (479) 443-4653 or Lucy Morlet

Welcoming Shepherds

This group is all about making new parishioners feel welcome.  They will put together a welcome packet for you with information about all the groups and events at St. Joseph's. They also set a welcoming table in the Great Hall after all Masses every quarter. Please stop by to be greeted by this fantastic group!

If you would like to help with this great ministry, duties would include a lot of smiling and meeting new people.  If this sparks your interest, please contact Shelley Overbey at
